Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between standard and pre cut?
Standard transfers come on a sheet, ready for you to cut and apply. Pre cut transfers are each cut to shape and ready to press, which saves time on bigger runs.
Which special finishes can I choose?
Full colour, glow in the dark, glitter, reflective, holographic, gold and silver. Glitter comes in blue, gold, pink or silver.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is 135 pieces for Custom Heat Transfer Patches. Larger runs move down the quantity breaks shown in the price table.
How is my price worked out?
Your price is based on the average of the width and height you enter and the quantity you order, using the price table on this page. Any paid options are added as you choose them, and the total updates as you go.
How are heat transfers applied?
Press at 150 to 160°C (302 to 320°F) for about 10 seconds with a heat press or household iron. Let it cool, then peel off the clear film. This leaves a thin, flexible print with no stitched edge. Check that your garment can take heat, and if you are not sure, tell us the fabric before you order.
Which shapes and sizes can I order?
Transfers can be 1.5 to 16.5 inches wide and high, in half inch steps. Choose pre cut if you want each transfer cut to the shape of your design.
Can I choose the colours?
Yes. We match the colours to your artwork. If you have Pantone (PMS) colours, add them in the instructions box.
Are there any design limits?
Most designs can be made. If a detail is too small or thin for this method, we will adjust it and show you the change on your proof before production starts.
Which artwork files can I send?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) reproduce best. High-resolution PNG, JPG, and WebP files are reviewed and we will tell you if anything needs redrawing.
What if my artwork is not ready yet?
Choose Email later and send your artwork after you order, or choose Get design help and tell us your idea. Production only starts once you approve the artwork.
Do I see a proof first?
Yes. A production proof is issued for you to check spelling, dimensions, colours, and placement. Production starts after you approve it.
Can I see a real sample before production?
Yes. You can ask for a photo of your actual item before we make the full order. The extra cost is shown next to the option.
How long does production take?
You choose this at the last step. The standard option has an estimated production time of 12 working days with no production surcharge. Faster options from 5 working days cost more, and a slower option costs less. The date shown is when your order is ready to ship, not when it arrives. If you have a fixed deadline, tell us before you order.
How much is delivery?
We ship to the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and worldwide. The delivery charge depends on where you are and the size of your order, and it is shown before you place your order. Orders sent outside the UK may have import taxes or duties set by your country. "Included" on a production option means no extra production cost, not free delivery. See our Shipping & Delivery page.
