Frequently asked questions
Can I make a clear keychain?
Yes. Choose key chain at the backing step and we finish your transparent PVC patch as a keychain.
Does the background show through?
Yes. The clear areas let the colour of the bag or garment show through. Tell us what you will attach it to and we will plan the design on your proof.
What is the minimum order?
You can order from 15 pieces of Transparent PVC Patches. Larger quantities lower the price per patch.
How is my price worked out?
The price comes from the average of the width and height you enter, rounded up to the next half inch, and the quantity you order.
Which backings can I choose?
You can choose plain backing or key chain. Plain backing is included. Any extra cost for the others shows when you select them.
Which shapes and sizes can I order?
Sizes from 2″ to 8″. You can pick from 39 shapes, or choose Custom shape to have it cut to the outline of your artwork.
Can I choose the colours?
Yes. We match the colours to your artwork. If you have Pantone (PMS) colours, add them in the instructions box.
Are there any design limits?
Most designs can be made. If a detail is too small or thin for this method, we will adjust it and show you the change on your proof before production starts.
Which artwork files can I send?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) reproduce best. High resolution PNG or JPG files also work.
What if my artwork is not ready yet?
Choose Email later and send your artwork after you order, or choose Get design help and tell us your idea. Production only starts once you approve the artwork.
Do I see a proof first?
Yes. A digital proof is sent for you to check before production starts.
Can I see a real sample before production?
Yes. You can ask for a photo of your actual item before we make the full order. The extra cost is shown next to the option.
What extras can I add?
You can add an individual polybag for each piece.
How long does production take?
You choose this at the last step. The standard option has an estimated production time of 20 working days with no production surcharge. Faster options from 14 working days cost more, and a slower option costs less. The date shown is when your order is ready to ship, not when it arrives. If you have a fixed deadline, tell us before you order.
How much is delivery?
We ship to the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and worldwide. The delivery charge depends on where you are and the size of your order, and it is shown before you place your order. Orders sent outside the UK may have import taxes or duties set by your country. "Included" on a production option means no extra production cost, not free delivery. See our Shipping & Delivery page.
What are transparent PVC patches?
They are patches made from clear, flexible PVC. The see through base gives your design a clean, modern look.
What is photochromic PVC?
Photochromic PVC changes colour in sunlight and returns to its original colour indoors.
Are they durable?
Yes. They resist weather, abrasion and everyday wear, so they suit bags, gear and outdoor use.
