Frequently asked questions
How are woven labels attached?
Woven labels are sewn into the garment. Straight cut labels are sewn on all sides or at the ends. End fold and Manhattan fold labels are sewn along the folded edges, and centre fold labels sit inside a seam. There is no iron on backing for this product.
Which fold type should I choose?
Straight cut is the most popular and works for most neck and hem labels. Choose centre fold if the label will sit in a side seam, loop or mitre fold if you want a hanging loop, and end or Manhattan fold for a neat finish with no raw ends. If you are not sure, tell us where the label goes and we will advise.
Can I split my order across garment sizes?
Yes. Use the size breakdown to enter how many labels you need for each garment size. Leave it blank if all your labels are the same.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is 40 pieces for Custom Woven Labels. Larger runs move down the quantity breaks shown in the price table.
How is my price worked out?
Your price is based on the average of the width and height you enter and the quantity you order, using the price table on this page. Any paid options are added as you choose them, and the total updates as you go.
Which shapes and sizes can I order?
Labels can be 1 to 3 inches wide and 1 to 3 inches high, in half inch steps. Most are rectangles, but you can choose die cut for a custom shape.
Can I choose the colours?
Yes. We match the colours to your artwork. If you have Pantone (PMS) colours, add them in the instructions box.
Are there any design limits?
Most designs can be made. If a detail is too small or thin for this method, we will adjust it and show you the change on your proof before production starts.
Which artwork files can I send?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) reproduce best. High-resolution PNG, JPG, and WebP files are reviewed and we will tell you if anything needs redrawing.
What if my artwork is not ready yet?
Choose Email later and send your artwork after you order, or choose Get design help and tell us your idea. Production only starts once you approve the artwork.
Do I see a proof first?
Yes. A production proof is issued for you to check spelling, dimensions, colours, and placement. Production starts after you approve it.
Can I see a real sample before production?
Yes. You can ask for a photo of your actual item before we make the full order. The extra cost is shown next to the option.
How long does production take?
You choose this at the last step. The standard option has an estimated production time of 12 working days with no production surcharge. Faster options from 5 working days cost more, and a slower option costs less. The date shown is when your order is ready to ship, not when it arrives. If you have a fixed deadline, tell us before you order.
How much is delivery?
We ship to the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and worldwide. The delivery charge depends on where you are and the size of your order, and it is shown before you place your order. Orders sent outside the UK may have import taxes or duties set by your country. "Included" on a production option means no extra production cost, not free delivery. See our Shipping & Delivery page.
