Frequently asked questions
Are PVC patches waterproof?
Yes. PVC does not soak up water, so the patches hold up to rain, mud and sweat. Clean them with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Can I get PVC morale patches with Velcro?
Yes. Choose single Velcro (hook side) or double Velcro (hook and loop) backing. It is the most popular choice for morale, airsoft and tactical patches.
What is photochromic PVC?
Photochromic PVC changes colour in sunlight and goes back to its normal colour indoors, for a fun reveal effect.
Rubber or PVC patches?
Both are soft, waterproof and moulded with raised detail. Rubber patches keep things simple with embossed and printed finishes. PVC patches add glitter, glow in the dark and colour change options.
TPU or PVC patches?
Both are flexible and waterproof. TPU has a glossy dome that catches the light and comes in 2 to 4 inches. PVC is moulded with raised detail, offers more effects such as glitter and glow, and comes up to 8 inches.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is 15 pieces for Custom PVC Patches. The more you order, the lower the price per piece.
How is my price worked out?
Your price is based on the average of the width and height you enter and the quantity you order, using the price table on this page. Any paid options are added as you choose them, and the total updates as you go.
Which backings can I choose?
You can choose plain backing, iron on backing, Single Velcro (hook side), Double Velcro (hook and loop), key chain, shoe charm backing, safety pin backing, magnetic backing or adhesive backing. Plain backing is included. Any extra cost for the others shows when you select them.
Which backing holds best?
Sewing it on is the most secure option and lasts through regular washing. Velcro is best if you want to remove or swap it. Iron-on is quick for cotton and polyester, but avoid it on nylon, leather and waterproof fabrics.
Which shapes and sizes can I order?
Sizes from 2″ to 8″. You can pick from 39 shapes, or choose Custom shape to have it cut to the outline of your artwork.
Can I choose the colours?
Yes. We match the colours to your artwork. If you have Pantone (PMS) colours, add them in the instructions box.
Are there any design limits?
Most designs can be made. If a detail is too small or thin for this method, we will adjust it and show you the change on your proof before production starts.
Which artwork files can I send?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) reproduce best. High-resolution PNG, JPG, and WebP files are reviewed and we will tell you if anything needs redrawing.
What if my artwork is not ready yet?
Choose Email later and send your artwork after you order, or choose Get design help and tell us your idea. Production only starts once you approve the artwork.
Do I see a proof first?
Yes. A production proof is issued for you to check spelling, dimensions, colours, and placement. Production starts after you approve it.
Can I see a real sample before production?
Yes. You can ask for a photo of your actual item before we make the full order. The extra cost is shown next to the option.
What extras can I add?
You can add an individual polybag for each piece.
How long does production take?
You choose this at the last step. The standard option has an estimated production time of 20 working days with no production surcharge. Faster options from 14 working days cost more, and a slower option costs less. The date shown is when your order is ready to ship, not when it arrives. If you have a fixed deadline, tell us before you order.
How much is delivery?
We ship to the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and worldwide. The delivery charge depends on where you are and the size of your order, and it is shown before you place your order. Orders sent outside the UK may have import taxes or duties set by your country. "Included" on a production option means no extra production cost, not free delivery. See our Shipping & Delivery page.
